Bouyany Battery Energy Storage Prototype
(BBES)

Summary

Researched ocean energy storage technologies and developed a small-scale functional prototype for an IoT-enabled buoyant energy storage system. 
Pico W MCU controlled a stepper motor/generator and hosted a web server to monitor system performance remotely.

Research paper investigated the feasibility of a MW-scale implementation.
Stepper generator powered a simple LED load for demonstration purposes. During demonstrations, a water weight was used to substitue a bouy as an equivalent force via Archimedes Principle.
